Our Mission Statement:

To introduce, develop, and foster the sport of disc golf in The City of Greater Sudbury, through clinics, leagues, and tournaments that are run by the SDGC.

The recently completed Lions Club of Sudbury Disc Golf Course is located on the corner of Selkirk Street and Burton Avenue. 18 challenging holes are situated through parkland and forest, with elevation changes that will test disc golfers of all abilities.

Disc Golf is free to play on a recreational basis. No reservations are needed, just show up at the course with your golf disc(s), and play anytime. Disc sales are available through the SDGC.

Weekly organized Summer and Winter Leagues are played at the course for a nominal League Fee. Beginners are welcome and it’s free for first time players. Loaner discs are also available. A good starting point for the novice, as we’ll show you the proper techniques.

About the Game

Disc golf is a disc game in which individual players throw a flying disc into a basket or at a target. According to the Professional Disc Golf Association, "The object of the game is to traverse a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc."
