Water Does Wonders Pledge
Attention Greater Sudbury Youth Sports Leagues!
Healthy Kids Sudbury is celebrating the end of our “Water Does Wonders” theme and we want to challenge you to take the Water Does Wonders Pledge!
For nine months Healthy Kids has been promoting water as the best drink to keep our kids healthy and hydrated. We’ve installed water fountains around the City, introduced kids to Tap and Thirsty, and brought you the Lunchbox and Team Water Challenges.
Through the Team Water Challenge we heard from your coaches that they want leagues to adopt healthy food and healthy drink policies. 100% of participating coaches responded that they would support a policy at the league level that would encourage all teams to promote water and to discourage sugary snack and drinks at teams and practices. You can read our report here: Team Water Coaches Survey Results.
Take the pledge- and enter to win!
The Water Does Wonders pledge is for families, organizations and sports leagues who want to commit to promoting drinking water and reducing consumption of sugary drinks. You can choose from the Silver or Gold Pledges.
Silver: We’re committed to promoting water and discouraging sugary drinks.
Gold: We’re committed to promoting water and not selling, providing or promoting sugary drinks.
Take the pledge, then let Healthy Kids know. We will promote your healthy choice to our community and you can enter in a draw for great prizes! Youth Sports Leagues who take the Silver or Gold Pledge can win one of 4 Water- on-the-Go Sports League Prize Packs. Each prize pack includes 4 portable 20 litre Water Containers and 115 Healthy Kids Water Bottles.
